Jo Stevenson is a Kundalini yoga and meditation teacher, an artist, writer and mama to 2 beautiful, strong spirited girls. She is a mental health advocate who is passionate about creativity and dedicated to supporting, coaching and inspiring women in a variety of different settings.
During a corporate career that spanned over 2 decades, Jo experienced burn out in 2013 after the birth of her 2nd daughter and it was this that led her to find and embrace Kundalini yoga. She has been a dedicated student ever since and became a KRI qualified teacher in 2018 with Sahej Academy.
“I am a strong believer that Kundalini comes into your life when you need it most. It was through experiencing burn out and break down, that led me to discover the transformative power of Kundalini yoga first hand and its innate ability to not only heal physically, mentally and emotionally; but to bring you back home to your true self and put you on the path to your highest destiny. I would love to welcome you onto the mat in the near future at one of my classes or workshops so that you can experience the power of this technology and its life-changing magic for yourself”
Jo now teaches weekly Kundalini yoga classes from her own creative studio space at home in Stanley and also at a variety of locations in the Leeds & Wakefield areas. She is a Theta healer, Reiki practitioner, a women’s circle facilitator and a qualified post-natal personal trainer who taught Power Pramming in London for 8 years.
“I love that Kundalini yoga is such a fast-acting technology that is accessible for everybody. In my classes you can find people from all walks of life, every shape & size, age & ability. It is my honour to be able to create safe, sacred spaces through art, yoga and healing where everyone is welcome and their unique beauty is celebrated. Embrace. Embody. Empower”
